The DeLand family has been involved in cross-cultural ministry in South America since 2003. In August of 2017, they began reaching out to the people of Northwest Yauyos, a rural zone with 9 villages located in the southern Andes region of Peru. They are specifically ministering in the village of Ayavirí. Through English education, Bible clubs, and adult Bible studies, they are slowly helping the people understand the beauty of the gospel. Their vision is to see the people know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, be discipled, and begin sharing God’s truth and hope with the surrounding villages.
